The Dozen Most Popular Blogs for 2020

the dozen most popular blogs for 202

Happy New Year to all the readers and subscribers to the Paul Spector blog. To ring in the new year, I am looking back at the dozen most popular blogs for 2020, based on Google Analytics. They span a variety of topics in industrial-organizational psychology, management, and research methods. They were not all written in 2020, but they were the most often read in 2020.

I started this blog 2 years ago to make academic topics accessible to a broader audience. The goal is to explain concepts and to provide simple overviews of recent research articles. By far the most popular article explains the nature of organizational climate and how it differs from organizational culture. It was inspired by teaching practitioners who sometimes find the abstruse and convoluted academic discussions hard to follow. Others are inspired by recent research and issues that catch my eye.

Here’s the top dozen, in order of how many times each has been viewed.

Looking Forward To 2021

I have already started working on the 2021 installment of the blog that I hope you will find informative and useful. If anyone has topic suggestions, feel free to send them my way. And for those of you who teach the I-O psychology class, the 8th edition of my I-O textbook, available summer 2021, will incorporate the blog as a special feature.
